Quit whinning, attacked, killed, stole from. Who cares. It is a game so calm down people.
Wise words

Strange words coming from the only person I can see in this entire thread who was whining.  You complain about the kill, And so we switch to murders which you promptly complain about.  Im new, so ill say this, i aint seen you do anything that we couldn't match, so impress me, im throwin down the gauntlet. You concentrated on net while we defended ourselves. Thats why your net was so much higher, you stacked while we spread out our training. You really have nothing to complain about, the net had him at the top of the table, clanned with 8 k land and 2 massive troop holes, and we are supposed to just indy past that? WHY?!?!? We had other options, and we used one. And when you complain, we decide to murder instead next time and you still have a problem with us. Its just a game so get over it! You should have done something in game if it was such a big problem for you, whining acomplishes nothing. I wouldn't have minded you taking me down, and i half expected it, but i wasn't even touched, by ANYONE in the last two days of the round, I woulda got cheesed and done something to retaliate in game, thats the way its done.

Admins feel free to edit if its a bit strong, im just cheesed at his whining and so im expressing myself, if i could id just glare at him, but im half a world away.

sorry for the awful pun...
I didn't touch you because I dont bother with noobs. In eight days we almost beat your whole rounds work.
Whatever spew oblit's been teaching you isn't working.
Oh, we didn't do anything you couldn't touch?
We were better. Simple as. You were jealous, so even though me and sharptooth had remainded relatively friendly with oblit, he basicly backstabbed us. You didn't have much talent at all. Neither did we really. All any of us did was make net and aid it. However, oblit was inferior for almost all of the round, and at the end we almost beat him. And as for not indying past, im not saying you should of, but you should of declared war first. Killing unprovoked is a noob move and always wil be.

I'm currently in top position by a huge margin BUT I'm intentionally dropping down to the bottom.

The Obliterator

Good then call me a noob you and i both know that i could smash many people here anyday.
And how on earth did i backstab you? We weren't even allies sure me and sharptooth are friends out of game but does that mean i have to just sit here and net do a thing. Can I emphasise once more that this is a WAR game you dont warn someone when you are about to attack them it gives them time to prepare defences you attack and you have the element of surprise.
I dont know about you but attack when the other person has no defenses is a lot easier than if they have been warned.

Firetooth

Good for you, you nearly won a round, but you've lost all my respect and sharpies, as well as a few other player's.

Get over it it was a kill.
The only retal i got was around 10 murders and an imediate apolgy asking me not to kill them and that they were only following orders. Talk about blind folowing.
Do some retal this round.
Stop whining and attack me. Im Super Mario Bros (#24) so start.
Also i dont know about you but me and sharpie are still friends.

You were monostacking, so of course you made more net. And yes, i may be a noob, but i know stuff too. You monostack stoats, or even skiffs( more net, less of them) and your net will climb faster than someone who is spreading out troop training to include rats and weasels, cos they aint worth as much, To keep up with you doing that, we beat you in my book fair and square.

Your defence was wide open, 2 troop hioles on 8k land clanned. And i know ive said that before but you arent listening. And don't go blaming oblit for what i helped do, i decided of my own free will what to do, and i knew how kills are viewed, get over it, and wipe noob from your reasons to leave me alone. It was purely strategic and until someone gives mer an alternative that an indie can pull off, unfortunately, in that situation i see it as an only option.

Sharpie, there was nothing personal in it, sorry if it felt that way, it was a purely strategic move.

As for you firetooth, well as far as i can tell this is how its gone down so far:
We kill.
You complain.
So we murder.
You Complain.
So i point this out.
So what do you do?
You insult my skills, i made half that net, or don't you beleive a noob can do anything.

And declaring war before killing, a few problems...
1) it defeats the purpose, if you only want to do a single kill run, i.e. NOT iniflict a whole heap of damage on people who aren't really targets, (ion this case noob killing, cos thats what armada mostly was, no offense but its a fact.) then it won't work because everyone will lansd grab to defend themselves.
2) time difference, even if i did message you to declare war, you dont get it for 12 hours, same goes for oblit, its midnight here in australia when im typing this. Youd be dead b4 you got the message.
3) Its stupid, it gives the enemy the first move. Not a wise satart to any war.

Feel free to reply, feel free to advocate noob killing or stupidity, i dont mind which, and no im not insulting you, im talking about your words not the person saying them. Even smart people can be wrong, its the wise ones who are willing to admit it tho.

Im willing to admit that murders would have been the more 'socioally acceptable' way to go, but we were both indying, and i cant leader to save my life anyway so no murder option. I can understand that you are miffed, but i think you going about acting on it the wrong way.

And im willing to apologise to anyone who feels personally slighted by me, it wasn't meant that way, it shouldn't be taken that way. I already apologised to sharptooth above, but anyone else, i apologise, it was purely a strategic move, and id do it again, purely strategically, until someone answers the age old question, what is the indy supposed to do in that situation.

Firetooth

The thing is, though sharpie lost his first win, alot of that was my net. Also, at the end I monostack all 4 troops so oblit couldn't break he had to murder, or at least thats what I think.
To me, noob doesn't mean low skill level. It means how you behave in general and your attitude. That's why I still consider myself noobish.
What should an indy do? Improvise ;)

Exactally my point, everyone says improvise or come up with something yourself, i say that that isn't an answer, it is a meaningless one if it is at all, and i say that no one will come up with an alternative because i don't beleive it exists.

And i would love to be proved wrong on this one guys.

Improvising is possible - my defense strat was made up as I went along. I'll admit it was only really effective in the context of the half land theme as far as leader defense goes, but since you are all indying (or were) you could easily have stacked enough huts to fend off murders without costing yourselves production. That, combined with a city and 50 turns of weasel massing per run would have made you able to stand up to kill attempts and murders without any real effort.

At some level, there is -always- a way to put a sharper edge on your strat, and that only becomes easier to do when you know how your enemy plays.
<=holbs-.. ..-holbs=> <=holbs-..

The Obliterator

And that really explains how an indy working alone can takedown 1bil net in a run.

I don't disagree with improvising, i just don't accept it as an answer for my question. How does a defensivist strat take out 1 bil net without murdering?  The point isn't that you can't improvise, its that it doesn't work in the situation firetooth is proposing its use in.

standard chaos is quite a bit better than murder if you can break, and defensive strats often have more powerful offense than monostackers because of all those rats. It's possible.

Thats what ive been trying to drive for, an available alternative that is doable, not some ambiguous answer. Thankyou for proving me wrong.
