I was going to suicide him too... Why did you do this Saladin?

To get rid of excess troops. And don't point the finger at me; tons of people have done it in the past few days.

Getting rid of troops can be done plenty of other ways that don't interfere with gameplay. The only other one that has done this that I can think of is Mr. King, and he did it to someone who was clanned, so it had no affect on the game. Do it on someone who is clanned, find another way to waste your troops, but don't max someone with failed attacks.

There is a rule against this happening, I hope it gets enforced if this continues.

1) I didn't max him.

2) The oblit, iluvashley, Cody, Noroth, and Juskabelly have suicide me recently, and iluvashley does it on a regular basis. Imagine how many more are doing it to other players

What are some other ways after marketing and selling to mercs (and aiding, though I often don't have skiffs)?

aid, merc and market are about it. Attack someone much higher for desertions, but do it to someone you can break. Use standard attacks for it - you using single troop attacks takes away from the claim that it was to waste troops.

And if you are going to fail attacks to get rid of troops, which I recommend against, at least do it on an empire much larger than you do you'll get fearlosses. That way they have less hits against them and you save turns.

Then next time I shall use standard attack.

No, next time just don't do it. You are interfering, whether intentionally or otherwise, and if you don't stop someone else will have to stop you, be it an admin or a player.
