Yes.  Having a playing admin has the potential for a conflict of interest. 

That wasnt your question though.  Your question was whether anyone thinks in this particular instance that sticker will abuse his power
I trust sticker.  As does most everyone else judging by the posts.

You could say that my having mod powers and file access could influence my ability to post on the forums.  IE, if I saw a post I didnt like I could simply go in and edit it.  I have the ability to do it without a trace.
Positions of power here are not given lightly,
we trust there will not be abuses

If you have evidence or a supported theory that someone is cheating please let us know
otherwise I'd appreciate you refrained from topics like this, they're fairly pointless and there will be no witch-hunt.

windhound.... read the title of the question.... that is exactly what i asked.... and if im not mistake ive know peace longer then u. so my ablity to trust him is not the question. im mearly asking a question, and wanted the gaming public to awsner.... but they have seen fit to not follow the origional poll... and this topic pointless..... on the contrary i do beilve is this one of the more prevalent topics that has been made. wearher or not peace is a good person is besides the point..... it is indeed a conflict of interest. and thats the point i was gettin at.

I was #116 on the first server, sticker joined after me.  I didnt really have any direct relation with him for a while as his style of playing and mine weren't exactly compatible, but I've known sticker for a good amount of time.

You worded your question directly about sticker
otherwise the title would have been "Conflict of interest- Admins playing?" or some such.  NOT "Peace Alliance in Power"
The first is a general question about conflicts of interest, the second is asking if sticker has a conflict of interest

I did much that was useful with the land, but I didn't want to set myself up in the same position as PA, the point was land redistribution, which worked well. I was hit for land soon after taking the land from Peace.

This isn't really a nice topic towards peace, but it's bound to happen sometime. He is a fair player and from the time I have known him, he has been helpful, as of everyone I have spoke to on here.

Sticker's (and my and Snare's) motive in locking land on reg is to liven up the game and force people to do something other than sit there and net all day, as well as make the game more interesting for ourselves. Sticker is a great player and has nothing to prove on that score and therefore has no need to use his admin powers in order to take them game, nor does he have any desire to lose those powers doing something that can easily be done without them.

Lonewolf, expressing yourself in the English language is not your strong point, but even so, you must be able to see that the way you worded it makes it sound like a personal attack on Peace Alliance. The admins here at RWL have been around for several years with no problems of this kind occuring to my knowledge. Why should it start now?

The answer to your question: Yes, there is POTENTIAL for a conflict of interest, but as to whether or not there is in this case, or any other case involving the people who administrate our site? Resounding NO.

look at what i wrote and now i worded it. there both fine. the headline is just that... its used to attract attention while not straying to far from the topic.

as for peace .... hes a outstanding player and very loyal to the game. But several factors being over looked 1) he is now the controlling emp. on reg server. and like any emp. politicls will come into play and being "one of the ppl" ive choisen to voice a topic of some debat. and the simple fact that all ur doing is gettin mad i would ask this Q is outragous... we should always be questioing the ppl that govern us. is only good policy cuz who realy belives that its a good idea to be blindly lead....not i.... 2) he has admin powers. weather or not he uses them is irrelivent seeing as how i never asked if he would. but what is important is the simple fact that he does have the ability.

Lonewolf i know you have nothing against me, so i know there is just a communication thing here. But the reason people are upset, i think, is because the only way my empororship could be a conflict of interest would be if i did use my powers to cheat. By asking the question, you are implying it's likelihood, if indirectly. I don't feel the need to defend myself here, however i do believe that other people might be outraged by this because they know that i put my heart and soul into the game.

Always important to question authority (duh, i'm PA wat else do i do??). But if you wanted to ask if i was a cheater, i would assume you'd ask me. If you wanted to guage peoples opinion, you could have asked "Who thinks PA is a great guy?". and woulda got an appropriate response, right? and maybe i'd even be flattered. Y'know, not like flattered flattered.... but flattered...

I think it is a conflict of interest just because Peace is admin. I wasn't sure which answer to hit, because I trust 100% that Peace is doing everything fair and square. It doesn't bother me in the slightest that he's made himself emp because he's outlined he has the constraints of any other player.

Technically, it is a conflict, though. Because he's an admin he could have had (at some stage) access to identities and IG messages that shape the game. This is something no ordinary player would ever have. Now I believe that Peace is not and would not use such things, but objectively, it could be perceived as a problem. This goes for Shael or Wolf Bite as well, or any future admin who choose to play. I don't see a problem, but if someone chose to make one, there's a case for it.

I think everyone should lay off lonewolf- it's a fair question to ask, and there's nothing personal in it. If no admin were playing there would be no point putting this up for discussion, because it wouldn't be relevant, so targeting Peace specifically makes sense. This is quite possibly the most interesting post I've seen in God knows how long, so kudos to lonewolf for getting crucified.

That is a good point. To make it fair, if an admin is playing there admin account should be disabeled so no one can be accused of cheating.
