Why are people's names changing? Alazar changed to avatar of pain, Thrall changed to Shade on turbo, and the arrows clan changes to Wrath, although the clan change might have been simply a disbanding.

I thought there was a discussion a little while ago about why admins do not allow name changes. What happened to that?

pippin the mighty

Peace changed my name for me, whats wrong with it?

Shadow

It is annoying to be unsure of who is who. I understand if you mistype your name and want it changed early on, but if you have been playing under the same name for weeks, it should not change.

It all adds to the fun though!

Yes, but then again unless you say on your page you had your name changed or something, people wont know, not everyone uses the forums

I'm currently in top position by a huge margin BUT I'm intentionally dropping down to the bottom.

No, telling them would make it LESS fun, I was saying that not telling them makes MORE fun, and thats what we need *jumps for joy*

They can just look at your warlord number...

pippin the mighty

Uh... you had to ruin it *crys*

Firetooth

I think most people know about the warlord numbers and have known for a long time.

Peace Alliance

If we allow name changes, we must allow them indiscriminately.

And not letting you know who they are is their choice.

Shadow

That is fine, but if they want to be incognite, force them to stay that way.

Alazar is Back

I don't have a problem with it. Of course i had it done, but it kinda adds to the mystery of the game....idk.
Turbo Highest Rank:Co-Emperor with Wolf Snare, Emperor

One of the most underrated players at RWL..

Wolf Snare

Well, I see no real reason to forbid name changes either, really. Sure it would be frustrating for players /and/ admins if we had a giant playerbase, but... That just isn't an issue yet.
