You only change your layout once a year?

windhound

Thanks taekwondo

Give or take Sticker, depends
I'm really fond of this one, so I'll probably keep it.  Until I get sick of this dark theme anyways, then I'll just invert the image and tweak from there
I havnt changed the P-38 image on my laptop in ages because its just perfect.  I'll find a picture of it in a bit

I've named my server Blackbird, after Lockheed's SR-71.  She's big, black, and dual processor (864mhz P3)...  so I wanted an image of the plane, had a hard time finding one I really liked.  This one I really like.

btw, I did intend this to be a topic for others to post theirs as well  = )

That's very cool windy. I haven't changed my desktop since we got the computer, so no point in reposting it.

How exactly do you put an image on the forum?

I see the image button, but what do I type between (img)(/img)

That gives me an awesome idea for a project though... Bah... Where's (another) old box to mess around with when you need it?

As far as my desktop well... I don't really need an image for that.

Ha :)
(okay, really, my desktop is too messy to show off)

You have to put the image somewhere on the internet first...  my favorite is photobucket, good free service, but they'll limit you to 800x600;  I'd resize it before I uploaded, otherwise it'll resize it for you...
you just take the url they give you for the image and throw it between the image tags on the forum, ie {img}http://www.photobucket.com/usr/imageofacokecan.jpg{/img}

Nice Gorak, up to 1.1?  I'm still using a DOS Shell on one of my boxes

...Vista TJ?

and :P nev.  I can make my desktop look like that too.  ctrl + alt + bkspace...  I like my shiney too much though.  A world without GUIs is a sad world

Ctl + Alt + Backspace just logs me out... But, this being Linux (as opposed to any other favor of Unix) id do have the ctl + alt + F1-F6 keys to open new terminals. Really nice if X or Gnome dies. Or more likely if I tried to log out without saving in Vim.... Speaking of Vim... That's one of reasons that I'm more effective at some tasks at the command line than in the GUI. The Unix command line is likely the best UI ever developed, IMHO.
