I know that there's another topic on this forum that asks for mentors and stuff, but I figured we should put a page on the site that can be accessed easier and that is updated regularly.

anything I'd like to say: I've played many many rounds and I enjoy helping teach new players and experienced players alike. I've learned some of my methods from great players before my time, and picked up a couple of things on the way. I'm still learning a lot myself, but I can teach newbies the ropes. Not too much heavy strategy, but if they're confused, I'll spend time teaching them the game, and probably give them enough to maintain the top 10.

Maybe not the complex stuff, but you could give newbies the basics.

We had this big bor and sis working a few years ago with a lot of people helping a lot of people.  A person does not need to be a master of the game to teach it.  A lot of times it is matching personalities that makes a good teacher.  Also there is no way to get better at the game than teaching because it keeps you thinking.  So yes, if you know what everything does, then teach.  If the student gets to your level, then both of you can always move to a more experienced teacher.
