Privateers were also hired to hunt pyrates.

Henry Morgan was a privateer. He sacked Panama and got a liquer name after him.

Also, the largest and most violent pyrate activity was off the coast of China, where there was colonies of pyrates with more tens of thousands. More than all the buccaneers and corsairs put together. So an oriental might not be that out of place.

I need to read more about ninjas so I can show you that you are wrong.
