I think it would be great if we had a way to gain vetern status for our armies.  I think that if your troops have a seen more battle and they have a good percentage of offensive actions they should be rewarded for this by gaining a better percentage of winning the next battle.

So wait, what happens when you sell off veteran troops?

Not nessarely the SPECIFIC troops.  ok?  your making this too difficult.  Lets say your perentage of offensive actions is 92%  and lets say since it is that high you get a 15% extra pffensive bonus.  Get it?   your imaginary generals get better and you cant sell them.  therefor the more times you break any enemy the more bonuses you get.  The more times you lose then your bonus is subtracted.  get it?

Oh, I see. That is a good idea. Now we just need to have Retto stop in here more than once a month to look at it, and code it.

Aha! Just like on the game ROME total war. I like it,

No, you only get bonuses for the troops that actually fought in the battles, if you sell them you lose vteran troops, we don't need huge off. bonuses as it is.

juska there is no way that you could keep track of who you sent into your army.  that is pointless.  unless we had a training page.  and maybe trained generals.  then those could fight and train and get skills to lead armies.  hmmm ...interesting....
but as for troops that actually fought, that is unrealalistic.

Not really, does anyone here code?

All you'd have to do is set a data counter to track every troop count the number of successful attacks that troops was in and multiply it accordingly. I don't have any coding experience, but I doubt it would be overly difficult to accomplish.

Look at def. %'s vs. off %'s how about defensive generals or engineers or something.

I think Ereptor's idea would be much more efficient and easier to implement, and besides Juska, what happens when you sell off veteran troops?

You lose them duh!

Any vets sold on the public would be turned into green troops so the buyers wouldn't gain any bonuses, otherwise it would be way tooo complecated.

vets have the same bm sell price as other troops.

We don't need more offensive options you idiots.

That was the point of my question Juska. Troops, once experienced, do not lose that experience, it makes the game needlessly complicated and favors indy's alot more than leader people. And given that you are the only one who runs indy, becuase you are as stubborn as a mule, it would be very unfair to game that currently set up to favor leader players... but then again, maybe the game needs shaking up, I dunno, but I would favor Ereptor's original suggestion more than yours, just because the logic works for his, but not for yours.

If your wondering Gen. I sell 80% of my troops and make new ones every run, because it's impossible not to.

That's what I figured.. but you still keep more than I do. LOL.
