Is it just me or do morales and honor not matter in the game anymore?  I think most of you people on the forums are great, but sadly, most people on the forums don't play the game.  There are people sacking and capturing left and right.  You be nice and ask someone to stop and they keep on doing it.  Someone gets poisoned and stolen from just because.  People only think about themselves and their well-being.  They want to look good even though no one cares how high their networth is.  The worst part is that no one is even trying to stop them.  I've dished out some threats and serious attacks to people being rude to me, but I can't do everything.  They get mad because I did to them what they did to me.  They don't have a problem using the lowest tricks in the book and going way overboard.  It makes the game much less fun to play.  Unless you all want RWL to become a simple community forum and not a game as well, I suggest we do something about it (and maybe poke Retto too).

I know some of you don't care.  For those people, feel free to say who you so we can post nasty things about you. ^_^

turbo I dont really care about though, as its easier to recover..

I agree in part, Nohc, but this style of game appears to be very new and much more of a challenge. Interesting.

Exactly my point. ^_^ Don't get me wrong, I wasn't complaining.? Just merely stating what happens.? I think we should maybe post a big sign somewhere that says: Anything goes in this game.? Killing, murdering, stealing, overattacking.? If you don't like these things don't play.? I'm serious! XD That way there won't be any misunderstandings and none of those annoying people that whine about everything.  Don't get mad at me because I'm merely interesting in keeping RWL alive. ^_^

WOW. This post is sorta out of date but ya umm I saw the words honor and morale associated with a <a href='http://www.consumeralertsystem.com/cas/zx-hclick.php?hid=233'; target='_blank'>computer</a> game... Which pretty much makes me think you're a wimp. If people were worried about morales and h onor... Then we wouldn't attack each other, we would just all make our armies really big and then start over again... That's not how it works, if people are going to use time on this game, they might as well give it their all to win, so if you can't keep up.. Don't play?

lemme give you a bit of history, since you're new and all
This game is based off a book serries Redwall, by Brain Jacques
within the, well, probably first full year of its operation, the game /was/ about honor..  the goal was ~ 4 hits per horde per run..  over 8x was a declaration of war
we had /fun/
the GAME..  eh, lemme say this again..  the GAME is more fun with 'honor'
we can RP a bit if we feel like it..  I mean we're playing a game pretending to be a leader of a group of rats, ferrets, stoats, skiffs, leaders.. 
no.  there is no 'honor' in a piece of computer hardware..  heck, my hdd up and crashed on me without notice...  very dishonorable, given all my backups were on it and now I have to go get a new external drive and backup everything all over again..

I agree this game should be played with Honor. I think I have played with honor and I'd also say there are some who don't. I am a reactionary player. I react to things done to help or hurt me. If someone asks for something 9 out of 10 times I'll do it.

In Turbo, I asked very same person who killed me for a truce. His answer was, "I'll only attack if I need the land". So, I said "So, that's a NO on the truce?". He said it's not a NO on the truce, he'll only attack for needed land. Well, he must have needed all I had, cause he hopped on to a clan just to take all my land. Then hopped off the clan. I doubt he NEEDED all I had.

In Regular, there is a current player who, at one time, asked me "wanna peace?" I figured it was just bad english and I assumed he was asking for peace between him and I. My answer was. Sure, no problem. A week goes by and this same guy is attacking me and, to this day, will not talk to me and answer my question as to WHY.

In my oppinion, there are way too few players to play cutthroat. It only hurts us all. We don't have much of an option to move on and refuse to play with one with dishonorable intent. All that leaves us is to stop playing and find another game.

If there are some who believe I have not been playing in an honorable way, I'd like to know. Maybe we could have a reasonable conversation about it and work it out.

As I said before, if I'm going to put time into this, I want to win, and in order to win, you do whatever you can... The game is too competitive now and strategies are too strong to play with "honor". There is no "honor" in this. It's mercy, honor is a true quality that cannot be displayed on a computer game. If you look at turbo right now, you see there are 3 mammoth top players far ahead all the other players, now you tell me what good it does us to attack them a couple times, take some land, and then leave them be? NOTHING. If I see I have the oppurtunity to take a lead, there is NO reason I shouldn't take it.

Sun has a very good point. But here is mine:

there are people in the game that have been nice to me. And therefore it would be unhonorable to attack them. (Well to me it would) But others that i don't know I attack. i am a player who maxes out all attacks on someone else. becauser it raises your networth alot. And why take only a small amount of networth when i could take all that I can?

the point is that you get choices. And I can chose whoever I want to attack. But I will not steal.  or poison. that is simply what I chossse. And if you want me to not attack you, just ask me and I will call a truce if I feel one should be called.

Barkclaw is basically putting my opinion in nicer terms, which I can't do... Lol... But I don't mean for you to hate all kill them all, if you can benefit from a truce, then take it if you need to. It's not right to call a truce with someone.. Then when you want to just break it and max them... But for the rest of them, it's fair game.

When I play I simply punish people for attacking me way below what is reasonable or for doing things such as sacking, capturing, murdering, etc..  You may like to capture and sack and think it's fair, but when I was around when sacking and capturing were new things, and because they were new and harmed me (and I couldn't do anything about it) I didn't like them.  Other than that, I only do attacks for land.  If someone has a ton, I attack them more than everyone else, but don't attack them 5k below someone I haven't even touched.  Basically I try to do as well as I can while harming others as little as possible.  The game is fun this way, but you can get pretty angry with people at times, which isn't fun at all.

I agree with windy and wish I had been around at the beginning.  You can play any other game and have fun if you're good at it.  But what really makes a game better than other games is the people that play it.  New players don't have fun because they don't know how the game works and aren't good at it so they pretty much get owned.  If a new player could join a clan, learn some things, make friends, and not be attacked and have all of his resources stolen we'd have and keep more people.  Why do you think RWL had so many people back in the day?
