Blood Wake

 Nevada, the original Warbands code was based on RWL and FaF is a much better version of Warbands with a lot of new ideas and some of the ideas from BAXX too.

I just died (again) so I was going to see if I could revive my account or whatever but it says I have the wrong password so I can't get in, even though I was in just a minute before.

edit: finally got into my account, had to click login under tester server on the main page. I don't see a link next to delete account like you said, I can not revive myself

also, I can check and send messages even though I am dead, something the old code needed a long time ago.

 Retto, the option to reset your account doesn't show up if you haven't been playing long enough. Could you put it in even if you aren't in long enough please?

 I think it would be benificial to make a list of the special abilities of each race. That way we could build on improving and balencing them. For now, we'll start with the special abilities, then work on the +-%'s!

Rat - Luck of the Devil: gives you better change of winning lottery

Weasel

Wildcat - Pressgang: Produces rats weasels and stoats.

Fox - Falsify: Falsifies any espionages, and lowers your NW by 15%.

Ferret - Pay Tribute

Stoat - Acadamy: makes leaders!

Filcheye

Wolf - fear: raises defenses for a longer time

Marten - Goldmine: gets you more gold

Ermine

Lizard - barbarian frenzy: increasts your OP 20% for the next attack

Let's drop or move this little argument over Warband's linnage... I belive it is getting in the way of delevopment.


I can't rember who has burrow. Say, would burrow still have a place in the reballenced codebase?

 it would be a usefull spell for a indy race since its not all that powerfull but its effective.

 Found out what lizard does.

"Lizard - barbarian frenzy: increasts your OP 20% for the next attack"

My suggestions for this specific spell is that we should make it so when you do it a second time, it gives you the 20% for the next 2 attacks, and so on.

the other suggestion is that you have the 20% bonus last 6 hours, and make it so if you cast it again in the 6 hours, the % gets higher. So you start with just 5%, but you get 1% more every time you cast the spell...


And my very very complicated suggestion, applies for ALL the spells that work like this. fear, sabatage... they all have something in common which is that they don't GIVE you somethign right away, they just affect you.
What i suggest is that every time you cast one of these spells you get a token (we'll figure out a better name for the token) and the tokens for each race will be the things that give the race their bonus.

For example, if i am a wolf and i cast the fear spell, i would get a token that gives me 12 hours of raised defenses, and for ever other token i get, it would go up 6 hours. The thing is, an opponent could use a leader spell to destroy tokens, and thus reducing your effectiveness.

For barbarian frenzy, you would get 1 token giving you a 5% bonus, and ever token after that gives you 1%. You could make it so its easy to destroy barbarians tokens, so you can really devistate their bonus with leader attacks.

I think fox should work the same, the first token gives you a 5% decrease in NW, and the next ones give you 1%. Taking away the fox's tokens would reveal the foxes TRUE NW!


Also, i think perhaps the tokens should be taken by troops, not leaders, just a balencing idea... it could be a special kind of troop attack...

 It is a very intresting idea... and It's backend implacations, if handled correctly, would be very good to the game. I'm not entirely sure how you intend to handle the decay of tokins... I wouldn't just leave them to be destroyed an attack, I would make it so the game eats away at them... After so-and-so many turns, you loose a tokin (This would only appily to turn-based pay-now leadership continueing effect spells too.. Although it may be a good idea to add a few more of these). My fear is that the tokin removal attack wouldn't be used often enough to counterballence races with offencive enhancement spells.

 well if you wanted to make it go away with time, i'm pretty sure you would have you make it apply to time, not turns. See, if you made it so the fox spell wears off with turns, then someone who's a fox would get a really high sabatage level, then just stop taking turns, and store stuff for the clan... and we don't really want to provoke the non-usage of turns do we? we wanna make sure its not strategically smart NOT to use turns, heh.

however, i think it would be more fun to make the effects perminent. You could have it so that with ANY attack on the player, there is a small change that they will lose some tokens. then make a specific spell/ability that would allow them to have a better change. That way just in the course of the game you would have to worry about losing tokens.

Also, if we find that there still isn't enough iniciative to take out tokens, we could make it so you can STEAL tokens... and then the effects could work on you! You could collect tokens from people, and they would stack on your own warlord, that would certainly be an incentive to take 'em!
