RWL Duel Server

 The idea of some sort of dueling server has been floating around in my head for like a year. Im sure there are a hundred of different ways to set up a dueling server, but heres one that i'm proposing.

In a normal game, whether it be turbo, regular or commanders, two warlords have the option of dueling eachother.

Warlord A sends warlord B a challange, and if warlord B accepts the callange then both accounts are automatically copyed AS IS onto the dueling server.

The Dueling server will run at a commanders-like speed. There, the two accounts who conceeded to the duel will only be allowed to attack eachother to the death, or untill they get bored and resign.

to resign, you delete your account and the warlord who deletes first loses.

The accounts in the regular game are uneffected by your duel, so as to not interupt gameplay.

So, whats the point you ask? Honor! there are always pointless tuffles to see who's this best, this would make those tuffles a whole lot more interesting.

any more ideas on it? supporters?

 Duelers should be able to wager reg goods: EX: Food, Money

Up to about 20% of their worth on each Duel, and have only 1 Duel per 400 turns or something...

I like this idea.

 Awesome idea. Kind of hard to kill unless the attack limits are done away with or something.

But killing is too easy on RWL... this would rule but you're gonna have to change a few things.

 ah yes, i forgot to mention no attack-limit.

and wagers would be cool, but you never know if a wager could give an unfair advantage in a real-game. what with complex turbo and commanders settings, in the future that might effect them a lot...

 Like the idea, Peace, how the winner is determined is the issue with me. The loser knowing their account will die regardless of outcome will fight to the death, and then, if at Commanders speed, killing will be extremely easy. The only thing that prevents is attack limits, and you can't kill with those on.

 well if your both online dueling eachother, then its pretty hard to die... and of course you will lose when you die, you think i expect to win if i go have tea the middle of a duel?

i was thinkin, what if we just made it so you can only attack the other guy if your both set as online?

 Duels? Reminds me of TSOR, back in the old days..

 Perhaps something like 20 turns per 10 minutes would be better, rather than Commanders speed? And have max turns be 1000. But anyway, the idea sounds great, I'd do it.

 I think that we should have team duels, with turns like regular  (like the old duel servers that Beatles used to run). Their would be a tourney, and the winning team would split evenly like 10 billion $ (5 person team) on regular. In case you're bad at math, that's 2 billion $ a person. That would give incentive to play the tourney, but at the same time an advantage.

On another note, the duel server between 2 people is also an awesome idea and I support that one as well...

 Well, people at QMT had alot to say about this topic, so if any of you would like to read what we've discussed  go here: http: Duel server. Actually Bluntman ferret and Mdk have one that's in beta currently I think. Beta Duel Server  I haven't checked it for a month though.

I'd like to see a special RWL server go up.

As for both being online that will not always work, and the person with the better internet speed would win if we used commander turns, or the person who played defensive the whole time untill the other guys outta turns, then I'd jsut be giant stalemate.

 I like the idea, with commanders turns and landfarms and everything, though the farms would need to be continuously supplied. I think there should be some sort of reward for winning, and even for the loser provided he stayed online, there should be one, just for putting in the time and effort. HoweverThe reward can't be too big, otherwise better players would constantly duel worse ones to get a reward. Cause you know at least SOME would accept the challenge most of the time. Also, it would be fairly easy to win a duel with no attack limits especially with one person just sitting there with huge defenses. You wait until the other is exhausted, and then attack. Unless you start them out at 5000 turns. Hmmmm. Idea just came to me. What if the duel is for only 10000 turns, and whoever is on top at the end wins? That would solve alot of these problems.

 2billion a person isn't very much, not even on regular....maybe it should be somewhere around 10-20 billion per  person...

Also a good idea would be if both players started out with somewhere around 10-20k turns, and thats all they got, and the person with the most nw at end wins.
