LETS TRY TO BREAK A RECORD

If i can see correctly that record has not changed for almost a year.

Here is my plan:

      On that same day, everybody try to log on

On July 21 2004 The record Will be broken (i hope)

Tell me if you will and if its a good or bad idea

 Um... Not to sound critical or anything, but read back on similar ideas and RWL happenings. It's basically a proven fact that if you bring an idea into question without giving every last detail, your idea will be shot down. It's happened time and time again. Everyone is negative. What is this world coming to? RWL is a resonable chunk of my time spent. I personally enjoin it to a certain degree, but when everyone resonds with comments such as,
" No way, that idea is idiotic, It will never work!" In comparison to something constructive and motivating like
"Yeah! sounds like a great idea that is worth while. It would be hard to pull of, but we, as a RWL community, shall pull together and make it happen!"
You see, that last example is what I miss about this place... everyone has gone negative.
Don't get me wrong, constructive crtitism works just as well. As most of us on here obviously like to point out others misshaps, and flaws to ideas, but is it really necessary to put the other person down? Trying not to be so negative towards the idea is a great way to motivate the rest of us. I like to believe that as a RWL community, we can do alot more than critasize others ideas, and argue about little things that are just not worth it.

I don't have much more to say. Related to this issue, I believe we can do it, and I greatly encourage the rest of you to think that way aswell.

Now, as Riverpaw pointed out, there are alot of things left unanswered for the time being. But all of that could easily be worked out. I would like to think that everyone knows the answer to the seventh point.
RWL has done amazing things, and has grown and downsized over the time it has been arround. Just think, if we got a spot in an encylopedia, what can't we do  :lol: ?
On a more serious note,  I think this is just another obstical to overcome as an online community.

As I read over this, it seems I may have over-exagerated quite a bit. Some may think, why is this guy rambling on about something that isn't important?
I admit, I did go a little overboard with parts, but c'mon people, let's set a new record as one.

 First of all, Riverpaw is like that.  He is. :P

Secondly, I think it's reasonable that it won't work.  It's not like I'm trying to be negative, I just don't think that it'll work, all things considered.  Think of this too; it wouldn't be fun for someone to try and organize something like this, and then fail.  Not fun.

That might be a good thing to say, but there aren't really social leaders in this type of community, and you can't say that people will come together if... they, well, probably won't.

Also, people do promote ideas.  For an example, look at Peace's (and Orcrist's) idea not to have leaders in Turbo for a round or so.  Lots of people like it, so it's a good idea.

I guess I don't really have to say anything about it if I don't think it will work, but then VinnieOlle (in this case) might seem to be ignored, generally disliked, or he could be tricked into a false sense of thinking that it would work.

So... yeah.  Just saying.

 Are you limiting RWL's capabilities?
Nohc, you are more than well liked here. All it would take is for you alone to support the idea, and all of your little followers would jump onto the idea. Instead, you take the easier road, and say it would never work. You could make it work, but you choose not to.
It wouldn't be that hard to organize.

I think that is tied into Slacking negativity.

But hey, I am not trying to insult you, or anyone else for that matter. I too look up to you.
That's just something to think about, though.

 I alone am only one person. I therefore only count as one person online. If we make a time, I will be on. I can only go so far with trying to convince others. It has become a lost cause. But I can assure you that I am supporting the idea.

 Why dont you set up multiple days for this... or maybe multiple times in one day.

18th of July, 19th, 20th, and finally the 21st.

10Am est, 12Am est, 2 PM est, etc.
