 I don't want to put to many choices down, and I can't think of any.
Thats what the "Other" is for.

Anywho, Sonaros, this poll is a little messed. I think you were trying to ask which type of OS people use, in which the choices should have been something like Windows, Linux(state type), MacOS...

Type of computer would be like Dell, Compaq, HP, Sony, Alianware, Homemade...

 for type of computer as Peace said it I would be an even rarer breed, I own the grand NEC Powermate 8100.

Windows 2000 rox ME's sox X 200. ME is the most unstable release of Windows ever. Probably as bad as XP's constant security problems.

Personally, I think 2000 is better than XP. My opinion, though. And I hate XP.

Poor old FATs. Replaced be the evil NTFS. Evil, evil, evil, I tell you!

I have this ancient (as in 13 year old) Apple computer. Don't know if it works, though.

 XP on the flat screen, XP on the laptop, and I think 98 on my slow computer. But I never use that one.

 Windows XP for the fast computer, Windows 95 on my evil, foul-creature-ish laptop, which I now only use for writing fanfics..

 Murk?  I use WindowsXP on this computer, but my personal computer is Windows 98. It freezes alot,  but it's not slow...

 *pats P1 laptop*  IBM Thinkpads are great..
my old laptop and the family comp. (P3) both use 98SE

most of the time it's not the OS that's slow, it's the computer..  
like these dang Dells the school has..  only 1 year old and most of them have had some sort of trouble..  on the one I usually use, if you just start it up and leave it alone for a few min, it'll stall..  the most annoying thing..  if you start it up then right away open a program then it's usually fine..  usually..  all the school comps have XP..

my dad says he'll get me a new laptop for school..  and he likes Dells for some odd reason..  *hopes for a Thinkpad*

 For my personal computer I have an IBM Thinkpad which runs Windows 2000 Professional. It's a good little computer. *loves* It has both a CD-ROM and floppy drive as semi-permanent hardware (meaning that I don't have to take one out to use the other). I also have an ethernet port. There's not too much on the little guy, but I like him. (Yes, it's a him. His name is Danny.  *grins*)

Anyway... all the computers in the college computer lab run Windows XP Professional, and I think all eight of them were custom built. There's a T1 connection to the internet and they're all networked. However, there are so many restrictions placed on the users (I guess they think we'll screw with them or something) that I don't like to use them that often.
