heres another underpowered technique I used to do with my old diesel
(you need to be able to heel toe for this one)

as you enter the corner, brake late, and really slam the brakes on and floor it at the same time (essentially brake standing to crack the rear end loose)

Unfortunately, you can not heel-toe in my truck. Even with the break pedal fully depressed the gas pedal is still further back. Left foot braking maybe, but I haven't put much time into learning to shift without the clutch, yet.

What kind of diesel?

'81 Olds Cutlass Brougme w/ 5.7L V8 Diesel

I've heel towed backwards before (left foot, tow on brake, heel on clutch, you won't be able to let clutch out far enough again, so you gotta slide your heel down off the clutch and dump it)

this is really awkward, but works for domestic vehicals

(I've never learned how to do clutchless shifting)
