That was the only thing that gave me a legitimate excuse for drifting through town. It's a bit harder to get sliding on rain, thus harder to believe it was unintentional.

Drifting is overrated
I can drift my car on dry pavement, and thats probably why I'm having troubles this winter (excessive tire ware)
I still maintian that good grip turning on a good line is faster

I said nothing about drifting being fast. There's no doubt I can drive faster with smooth inputs. In fact, the only thing so far that has been able to keep up with around freeway ramps was white '06 BMW.

I cannot drift my truck on dry pavement. At least, I haven't put sufficient effort into trying. And sufficient effort would have to be considerable. 4300lbs. 130 hp. Usually the inside tire just spins, and if not, then it's pushing. I'm fairly sure it won't get loose on pavement.

I WANT A BIG PILE OF SNOW.

And some chocolate. With no calories.

Gorak

yeah, your too underpowered for my way of drifting a rwd
the alternatives are very hard on the drive train

heres one alternative; enter corner at very high speed, and as you do, slam it in 2nd geer, this will momentarily lock the rear wheels for a split second, just enough to kick out the rear end and initiat the drift, then control the drift with the throttle, hammer it on to maintain, back off for traction (you know the drill)

as I said, hard on the drivetrain, but it works

Aha! Turns out that if the corner is slightly down hill, I can get it loose under heavy throttle on dry pavement. Found this out yesterday on my way to work while frustrated with slow traffic.

Your way, I do not think I will try. I did that a few time when I rode a motorcycle for the first time. And once or twice after that. (Whoo, 40mph slide on a bike.(yes, pavement)) I try to avoid that though. Kinda freaky.
