Think about this:

A. The number of physicians in the US is 700,000.
B. Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year is 120,000.
C. Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.
(US Dept. of Health &Human Services)

Then think about this:

A. The number of gun owners in the US is 80,000,000.
B. The number of accidental gun deaths per year is 1,500.
C. The number of accidental deaths per gun owner 0.0000188.

Statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than
gun owners.

FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors
before this gets out of hand.

One of my favorite all-time Star Wars scenes (from Darksaber):

America's per capita level of firearms related deaths are ghastly compared to the rest of the world.

 yea but doctors job is to work to save people.  There might be 120000 accidental deaths, but there is probably over 1000000 people saved by doctors.  How many people  have been saved by guns?
Apparently people are getting angry at me for having too long of a sig. when all you have to do is press three buttons to not veiw someone else's sig. if you do not want to see it so I no longer have one *grumble* lazy people *grumble*.  Whew! Run on sentence.

 Rofl!  That's funny!  People, take it as a joke.  Of course doctors save much more people that they kill, and many more would be lost if we did not have doctors at all, etc.  Good joke though. :D

 How many people have been saved my guns? Millions, guns stopped the Holocaust, should I go on? Hopefully no-one here is anti-gun. Without people owning guns it makes it so much easier for dicatorships to take reign. The stats are funny. Juby people sin, there going to go to heck.

 IT WAS TOO, Wildwood. Yeesh, you people are hopeless. Juby, bad people could kill you just as easily with a knife, a car, a train, a building, their fists, a rock, blah, blah, blah. Guns are just easier. Wildwood, more people were saved by guns in WWII than were saved by people takign a joke seriously an B.S.ing me, so go away.

I'm all for guns in the hands of the army, and no dictatorships do not rise easier in countries with few guns, if anything an armed population has led to more dictatorships from revolutions.  An unarmed country would have to ELECT a dictator and if it were an army coup, an armed population would lose to their army so your back at square one anyways.  The entire world is an example against those claims, guns make killing more impersonal, therefore easier, most people don't have the stomach to stab a person.  how do you explain the fact that in other first world nations with gun control there aren't very many gun related deaths and in the USA their is a ghastly number of murders, ghastly even in per capita terms?  What is wrong with the states if the only difference is guns and you claim it's not the guns.  and if countries with fewer fire arms are more susceptable to dictatorship, why are Canada, Europe, Japan and Austrailia not having trouble with dictatorships?
