The moment you give a leader more power then the people, people are no longer equal and it stops being communist or socialist and becomes Authoritarian.  All the so called communist governments like China and USSR were not actually communist, it's never been tried.

Juby, I'm actually going to disagree with you on that. Communism HAS been tried. Stalin was a communist. HOWEVER, Socialist Communism (the kind you support) has never existed. Remember, Communism is purely economic. I suppose Socialist Communism could be argued as "dream" communism. If so, than you are correct. It has never existed.

For example, Nelson Mandela and Saddam Hussein are both fairly communist. However, Nelson Mandela is very much a Socialist whereas Saddam is very Authoritarian. (Actually, economics aside, George Bush is actually only slightly more liberal in social policies than Saddam.)

 Yes.... Social Libertarian (i.e. Socialist) Communism.

Very true about the possibility of co-existance of democracy and communism. The only reason we don't actually see it is because 95+% of governments are authoritarian. So there is only a very small window for Socialist Communism to exist.
