General Austin

Me and my friend attacked Germania, unsuccessfully. He attacked back about 10-20 times, successfully. Now, when I getting ready to hit back, I've learned that he's joined Josh's new clan. Do I sue for peace, or just let him hit me? Any suggestions wuold be appreciated....

How many times did you try to hit Germania?  If you hit him only once each, and his retal was 10-20 times on both of you, that's overkill for an unsuccessful hit.  Hit back, only if you're sure you can break his numbers.

It's your fault for getting yourself in this situation. Next time, make sure you have a plan B

General Austin

My one attack was for retaliation. He was the one who took me down before.

jusk hit him back then explain to the clan that you are done with him and wish for no more agretions

If you know a weakness, build up turns and pursue that weakness. Otherwise, call for a cease fire.

 yup- that's a good idea...

lol. If you can't slaughter him, call a cease fire. Works for you either way. Espionage him if you can or ask an ally to do so if they have a lot of leaders, and your espionage fails.

Speaking from a neutral position; Germania's armies far outnumber your's by pure numbers far greater than 2:1 even with both of your armies combined. His allies include the solid top 3 and probably more you don't know about. Espionage and murder will be unsucessful because he also has around 2.5 million leaders. So far his weakness' are pretty much nil.

You on the other hand control a clan and quite a few allies. Individually you have no foreseeable way to destroy him. Even if he could be broken by either one of you, within 24 hours you will have lost any gains you have made on him and that is assuming you could break him in the first place, which I assure, you cannot. Your greatest weakness, other than your pathetic army, is your clan. Alas you have discovered Germania's first true weakness. At his size he cannot attack a horde out of the top 10 without losing troops. Therefore the first thing you should do is drop Northern.

Once you have eliminated the threat of being attacked you now consolidate and consider your other option of diplomacy. After speaking with Germania you discover he is a backstabbing doot who will come up with any excuse to destroy pretty much anyone for no apparent reason. You realize he cannot be reasoned with through diplomacy.

You then pool resources with all of your allies, saving 450 turns each. After you have completed that job you and your allies strike similtaniously with Gurilla strikes, eventually weakening him and finally breaking him. Hopefully you have enough allies to get the job done; perhaps 8-12.

The above is what I would do in your position, the last thing I would do is call for a cease fire, it only proves you have been truly defeated. The espionage thing is all good and fun until that ally recieves 5 retals for an unsuccsesful mission and 30 for one that succeeds. Even if you do get your numbers, never underestimate your enemy, the numbers are only part of the equation; the most important element you will almost always leave out is the human factor. Learn the opponent, not the opponents numbers, and one day you will triumph.

With that said, the old server will soon be taken offline and the predicament is now non-exsitent.
It was a most enjoyable war, however you gave up a little sooner than I anticipated; and if its any consolation, my economy suffered for that mistake.

General Austin

*claps* You are a most worthy opponent, I assure you. My problem is that I have many allies, yet it takes a considerable amount of time to get any number of them to do anything with me, for attacking you is...suicide, simply put. One question: How did you and Josh get so good? Was it from playing promisance, Utopia? What? You're far out of my league, and besides, I do not like fighting losing battles. It hurts me far more than losing face in front of my opponent.

General Austin

Oh, yes! I almost forgot... Your army was consderably pumped by Tarsonis, even though you will probably deny it. Not leaders, but probably just for the beginning attacks. You have an equal amount of allies, and they are in the top three, which, in my opinion, was a considerable thing considering that the top three could single-handedly crush the entire game with only 400 turns of they wanted to. This, I think, is a good example of the pansy/weakling strategy. Me, the weakling, you, the mighty person feeding off of me.

Exceptional math skills, good strategy, and teamwork. I did play Utopia and was a monarch for quite a few ages with a great loyal kingdom, in which I have died many times for the greater good of the kingdom. (and my own stuborness). This is the only "promisance" game i've played. I do quite well in games being undefeated in two provinces on LAN games for Unreal Tournament, Tactical Ops, and Rune. Im also a "Sniper Diety" according to someone in my TO clan, being able to hold my own against almost anyone with my 500 ping and 10% packet loss. (If you have ever sniped facing down from a distance at 500 ping and had 12 kills in a row, your conisdered good.) And according to half of the game (everyone in 2.2), I: radar, aimbot, wallhack, buyzonehack, health hack, no recoil hack, lag hack, and various other things. Then we account for the fact that pretty much EVERYONE else cheats in 2.2, being able to come in first is quite a talent IMO. (yes it is true, 99% of people in 2.2 cheat.)

Josh is an equally talented player, as far as im concerned, and working with him as a team gets us pretty far.

Yes he sped my return to the top 10, but I assure you before our war I recieved no more aid from him, kind of the opposite if you think about it.

 Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Okay. Thanks.

calria

it all makes me feel so small and unimportant... *sniff*

can I borrow one of you guys's little fingers? I'd like to suck the RWL talent out of it. My only real talent is being able to raise a small pony farm in what's sometimes comparable to peace...

Germania 4

Perhaps the fact that you are raising a small pony farm is the cause of your supposed lack of talent.
