RWL Exhibition game is amazing. These type of games are really fun, and I believe its the best way to keep people here on RWL. I mean I even came back to play the exhibition and I was long gone.

I though of another idea though. I think it would be good if everyone thought of ideas too.

The Gladiator Arena (Keep in mind parts of this idea can be changed)

For 2 weeks a 4 servers will run at Turbo speed. The accounts will not leave protection during the 2 weeks so it is up to them to grow and stratagise for the two weeks. When the two weeks are over, all the accounts will be let out of protection after 1 turn. Each server will battle it out untill there is only one warlord left per server, then Round 2 will begin where they join 2 of the servers with the others and the warlords again will have 1 turn protection. Then the winners of those battles will be part of the final battle on one server.

Round 1----Round 2------------------Final Round
Server1
-------------Server1 Vs Server2
Server2
-------------------------------------------Server1 & Server2 Vs Server3 & Server4
Server3
-------------Server3 VsServer4
Server4

Thats how it would work, every round going untill there is only one person left in the game.

To make kills come faster there would be NO maximum attacks and also if there is one warlord left but a few more in protection, the ones in protection wont count (but that only applys for round 1 of course).
Land gains will be worth a lot more. People will loose MUCH more land per attack and it wont go so low when its nearing the last few acres. Thats because it would take WAY too many turns to kill like 15 warlords.

Of course people will only be allowed having one horde in total over all the servers.

Other then that i can't think of anything to add. Any suggestions would be good.

So what do you think??

(BTW, just 'cause i posted this doesn't mean i am back in the RWL community, so don't start talking to me again please.)

This is just a variation on Redwall Duels. I could even stop you from doing it. Since the copyright violations already in BAX, I would, too.

Oh, shush bob! Peace, I think it's a great idea!
Dark days are coming my friends....... oh yes we are in trouble....

bob3

I /so/ will not shush while this idea is talked about. Unless I give my permission-thingy for it.
Not while:
-condense turns
-notepad
-many missions at once
-sent mail
are credited to me, and while the game is not open-source. Which Purgett would have an issue with as well.

Heh. And how, pray, are you going to stop this from happening? Brandish legal papers in front of our digital faces? It's not like you didn't take everything from Reg, and just added a few features which aren't really so brilliant that only you are allowed to use them, even if the game was open-source.

Credited to you, but not copyrighted or trademarked or anything, so they are free to use at will without a legally binding contract.

bob3

Why should I worry about enforcing it? Same way as Terrouge stopped making their ROC-connector site when it came up somebody was already doing it.

Oh yes, I forgot, the internet, where everyone will be unpleasant because they face no reprucussions.

By the way Shael, "Regular" was taken from somewhere else as well, it is open source. BAX however is not, and has a copyright, which breaks the original terms from which it was taken.

What are you so worried about then? ^_^ If, as you say, you have no need to worry about enforcing it, which is a contradicting attitude to your previous posts, then go out somewhere and forget about it. Eat a cookie if makes you feel better.

Burninate: That, I already knew. The point still stands.

Bob: Whether I am competent or not will be for others to decide. Still, what are you going to do about it? Take Retto and Boze to court? That post didn't influence much in the argument.

As Beatles feels it is exceedingly important to be noted in the credits page, he is given his due regard (if anyone else, who has contributed equal if not greater ideas, would like to be listed, I would be happy to add you)

Quote from: The New Credits Page AmendmentBealtes would really like you to know that a few things here were his idea, and while others allowed their ideas to be anonymous (thank you to everyone who has suggested things, it has really served to make an improved game), he would like to be credited, specifically, for the notepad and for your ability to perform many missions in the general's hut at once.

I'm sure Beatles would like you to speak up, also, as it will mean that I will rewrite this to make less point  over the noise he has made.

As to the lgpl, gpl, lgp, etc... Beatles, next time you would like to quote from a contract, pick the right one.

In response to this actual topic (Beatles, if you wish to quibble, continue via private messages), I think it's an interesting idea. With a bit of elaboration it could turn into something especially fun.

Is the license linked from promisance.org and QMT promisance, which I believe this is based upon?

I am merely using the agreement that is associated with the code we are using, and the one bundled with the latest version of Promisance. That is the agreement I agreed to.
