Creation of the UltraModerated Discussion Forum

 Hopefully, this will be a place to discuss things reasonably and calmly, and without the spam, off-topicness, etc... that is in other forums.


Forum Rules

• No profanity or offensive words allowed including use of @$$ and f***, #@)$(&*, and calling things or people "gay" or calling people "fags"
  
• No Spamming There shall be no spamming. This includes one line posts (a line that has less then 8 words). if you have a strong point, you can say it in more than 8 words.
  
• No Advertising There will be no advertising at all, or promotion/discussion of games other than Redwall: Warlords.
  
• No Real Life Meetings Attempting to set up real-life meetings with other forum members is not allowed on these forums. If you want to find out how to meet your ROC friends, please look towards the RedCon Discussion forums.
  
• No Shouting No use of all caps in either topic titles or posts. It makes the forums messy, and we don't like it.
  
• No double/triple posting It is a waste of space. If there is a multiple-post, erase it.
  
• No insulting, No flaming You will not insult (ncluding derogatory calling of "newbie" or "oldbie"). You will not flame. You will not cause people grief. You will be civil. You will be polite. You will be kind. You will respect the views of others. You will make sense.
  
• Do not change the meaning of posts If a person means to say something, do not edit their post to mean something else. Do not put words in their mouth.
  
• If you edit a post Write, at the end, replacing YourName with your name, and YourChanges with a list of the things you changed: [EDIT by YourName: YourChanges]
  When posting in a topic, you will stay on topic. You will not create a new thread for a topic which has already been started. Make use of the searching abilities of the board to research things.
  
• You will not edit the posts of Admins or Mods. Our words have elevated weight because of the power which we hold. Unless it's a serious infraction, do not edit our posts
  You will not make people very uncomfortable (confessions of undying love, threats, etc...)

  Changing The Rules
  
  These rules can be changed at any time by the Admins or RWL Forum Mods.
  
  Penalties
  
  If a member has broken one of these rules, you are allowed to edit their post so that it follows them.
  
  If a member consistently breaks rules, and does not learn from their mistakes, create a poll (replace MemberName with the member's forum username) entitled "Should MemberName be allowed to stay in this forum?", with the options: "No, s/he should be kicked out of this forum" and "Yes, s/he is a valuable asset to this forum/has done nothing wrong". After a few days of voting on this topic, an Admin will either kick that member out of the UltraModerated Forum, or post a reply to the topic, stating why the member is still there. The topic will then be closed.
  
  A member who has been kicked out of the UltraModerated Discussion forum will still be able to read messages, but not post or reply to them.

 My opinions:
There are times when you can make your point in under eight words.
Also, why not just force the edit stamp for everyone?
Finally, Doesn't this seem like a revenge of the mobacracy with the policy of takeing a vote on rather a forum member should or should not be thrown off the forum.

 Some people also whine all over the place in attempts to make trouble. It is very sad. I don't really understand it.

 Perhaps we should simply not turn to looseness, but instead to a Singapore-like police-state resembling dictatorial moderation regime. The idea is to get everyone sitting up straight, and if they don't like it, they can leave.
