I prefer setting skiffs to 40%, and rats, stoats, and weasels to 20%. What do you think?

 Rats: 25%
Weasels: 0%
Stoats: 35%
Skiffies: 40%

That's classified information. I like to set my mass troop from around 100-70%, with the remainder distrabuted to gain about even amounts of the other offencive (includeing skiffs) units. That was intended to be an ambigious.

 When I'm massing:
70% X
10% Y
where X is whatever I'm massing at the time and Y is everything else.
When I'm not massing:
25% Z
where Z is every single one of them.
Alternative non-massing settings:
20 A
20 B
30 C
30 D

 Hehe...

Rats 0%
Weasels 0%
Stoats 0%

...100% SKIFFS! WHOO!

The Beatles

 100% rats
0% weaselse
0% stoats
0% skiffs
And then rape everyone with land, and then build guards. Yeah. And be taken down with leaders, of course.

Badrang the Tyrant

 10% Rats
10% Weasles
40% Stoats
40% Skiffs
This is usually what I put, but I've come up with a new strat that takes 100% Weasles.

 8%rats

12%weasels

55% stoats

25% skiffs

when I'm not massing, that is. I massed a lot of everything, then equally grow. Orcrist game me that when I  was first era, LOL

I developed my strat from being under the combined tutilage of Josh, Aus, and, to an extent, Ereptor. Later, it was fine-tuned by Ad and Beatles. *nods*

Orcrist

Haha- yea I remember doing that. For the first era, since stoats were very popular, that setting worked well cuz it balanced out you're stoats for defence, and you had enough skiffs to attack people. Nowadays though, I'm not sure if it's as effective.

Who knows these days. For me, well it depends on what I want to use for the game.

I'm not telling you what I'm doing now, but a good base strat that got me to the top every time (I'm experimenting with new stuff now), is

8% Rats
2% Weasels (Extra money for dire straits)
75% Stoats (Most people don't use them effectively, easy to stomple through with stoats...)
15% Skiffs (Build enough to be able to do aid and have some to sell if your economy goes under)

If I had 10,000 land, it would look like this:

2,000 markets
5,000 barracks
2,000 foragers (Can sell food if theres a surplus, but I usually have huge troop counts)
1,000 huts

I'd be negative in everything but food, keeping food barely positive. I would lose 2 - 40 million dollars a turn depending on my networth, so I would just sell some stoats, but when I gained a lot of land in one go, I could build so many barrackses I could produce enough units a turn to sell them and make an extra 100 million if I needed it...

ANOTHER STRAT OF OLD:

I never used markets, 10,000 land would look like this:

6,000 barracks
3,000 foragers
1,000 huts

The foragers' extra food could be sold for the amount x 6, making a lot of money if you just took your turns slowly, but food is 2 dollars a unit now, so this one doesn't work as well...I did this strat with a leader account where I switched the barrackses and huts. I stoat-massed while building up like 5 million leaders, and just looted and stole my way up the ladder...I love the people who mass money and don't put any in the bank...Ah yes. Good stuff.

Oh, its effective enough, but every 300 turns 10 turns have to be on 100% rats. I dont mind.

I used a different strat than all of you... I kept everything the same and scout lots when I was high up, so I gained not much land  but lotsa troops, leaders an such, then contruct till I'm outta land.. scout more, still not get much land, but even more troops and leaders.. so you end up with like 1 million of everything.... and lotsa food

Sorry, bud, but 20% all won't get you very far. Once you start getting into huge fights, you'll see the error in it...You exhaust troops quickly.
