Yeah, but if you build markets, you can get more troops, which will increase your networth. The fastest way to increase your networth is by gaining land, although if you just do this, you become landfat and an easy target.

Get troops. Each rat increases your networth by 1. I think it's the same with other troops.

Demolish barracks, and build markets with the unused land/ up your tax.

My tax rate is 10 now, but it used to be 20. Keep your markets to barraks like that. 2.5 markets for every one barrack. Also, build 1 tent for every 3 barracks!
