Feel guilty for attacking me in First Era, and play the new expansion as pennance, and I'll pummel YOU. ;)

Mark

I think you should just murder them untill they can't break you back, it's funny to do that.

It's usually strategically unsound to attack someone while they are online. It opens ground for them to counter attack while your defenses are not at full capacity. If you think about it would you attack a defensive line when they are alert or while they're in bed, the choice is yours but if you side with the first, get off my team.

There are a few reasons to attack someone while they are online. It at most times in almost all general cases results in an attempt to regain taken land. Used to your advantage it can weaken their health and/or use up their vital turns if on regular. Taking note that some things I say will be relavent to one game and totally useless on the other. The other reason if your strategy permits, you will destroy their army, if you attack properly but I won't go into detail as you can figure it out yourself. The last one also applies mainly to stoats and rats but I suppose leaders to some degree.

Usually maybe, but in certain strategies, if you attack someone when they're online, they're usually about to do something. If you attack you can mess them up. Of course you will get retalled and it's usually just better to walk away, but if you really want to be a jerk.

I know I never really attacked when people were on. But if you weren't doing land grabs, but actually wanted to screw the person, and your a fox, you could do the fox special, have massive defense(units and guards) let them hit you and they loose tons of junk. But it would be easier just to kill them when they aren't on. And if you are a very honorable person you will wait till they are on, but I doubt many of us have that much honor.

I'm not playing regular, right now... or Turbo, for that matter.

I think I've been doing nothing but attack people while they are online. They always seem to be the ones with the most land.

I seriously still have the theory that you loose more/gain less land when both players are online and attacking.

Holby

When you attack someone on-line, they probably haven't built on their land yet. You gain more unused land than built-on land. Also, most people don't have unused land in normal circumstances, so you're going to get more.
I probably should have written it the other way around, but I think you understand.

Peace Alliance

I just finished messagin windhounds angrily for his attacking me while i was online on turbo. I mean, its not only rude, cruel and pointless. Its also untactical, and its bad stratagy.

First off, we both had a common enamy. Not that we were working together, but at the expenser of eachother we are willing to work to take our opponent. So when he attacked me before i had finished with the land, it meant that i couldn't become stronger, thus i couldn't work to take out our common enamy.

Second, it is bad stratagy because your going to attack me while i'm onlnie... so as your taking land from me i could be taking land from you.

third, it is just mean to take it before i'm finished doing what i'm doing. i needed to use that land JUST to get my leaders up, then i literally would have allowed you to take it.

section 4.32:
The only times i attack while people are online, is when i know that they have their guard towers down and its the only way i could break them. Or when i spy on them, see that they have like 50 turns left, and go for it.

so... in conclusion, online attacing = BAD unless the conditions in section 4.23 are in place

The Beatles

So basically what you have said:
Online attacking is bad if it screws you up, but it's good if you can get free land and not worry about retal.

Even more simply and brutally:
Online attacking is evil if they do it to you, and good if you do it to others.

:D Cheers.

Peace Alliance

Its rude and evil when i do it to others... question is if i care?

heh, whats with you lately beatles, are you mad at me for something?
