I had actually tried to design a website for a photo album...it turned out to be more of a pain than anything.  And Yahoo redesigned the photo album?  I've not been on there for awhile.

looks pretty much the same as it always did..  there's an annoying kinda pixily hand when I hover over an image, and a more intelligent (and heavier) image loader, but other than that...

er, you could use somthin' like http://harmonyhounds.org/greyhound/gallery.html  (I swear one day I will properly skin it and get it out of that crappy iframe) [direct link to non-framed gallery- http://www.harmonyhounds.org/gallery2/ ]
you would need to make a new mysql table for it to live in, or it could probably share rwl's as long as you gave the tables different prefixes, but its cleaner to give a new thing. 
gallery2 sets up within maybe 5 min
if you cant find a skin you like for gallery2 you're hopeless = D

however, I think yahoo's is fine for now..  do as you will

Hmm...I had wanted something like that when I had actually first imagined a photo album, but I was unable to make it so, because the extent of my web-design skills is limited to html. 

But, the new Yahoo page doesn't bother me at all, I actually had seen it before I just forgot.  Either way, I would like either as long as Shael could make it simple to add new photos on a new website.  Even if it were ftp upload to a certain directory or whatever that's good.

But I'm open for new suggestions.

er, sorry.  I forgot to say which piece of software that is..  gallery2, http://gallery.menalto.com/
its a very popular gallery, http://gallery.menalto.com/gallery/demosites/ and you can, again, make it look however you want.  uploading images is quite easy
I like it quite a bit, but seems overkill for this purpose ;)
