The movie was fine up until the end imo...the whole french girl plot line just didn't keep my interest

That is actually the order I would put them in,Ungatt.  I loved SPR and its soundtrack, it was a great piece of film.  Black Hawk Down is also good, though not as good as SPR.  Haven't seen Jarhead, but I don't really know if I want to.

Have you seen Band of Brothers?  Now /that/ is good drama
