There are links in game for game guide and FAQ just above your stats bar where it shows your food and loyalty. I'm not sure how up to date they are though.
Most people here are willing to answer questions though. When They're around that is, activity has been low lately

I fairly recently rewrote the Basic Tutorial guide sections, the rest of the guide is still a bit of a mess (one day..)

But the quickstart should get you started, and most of the other players would be happy to help you out so just shoot them an ingame message.
