It's "historical fiction", which means they took the old Norse sagas and made TV shows out of them. Which is why its terrible.

Also, kilk, I have no idea what you are talking about, and I'm not even sure if you know what Game of Thrones actually is, based on your posts. Game of Thrones is based off a still being written book series called "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martin. The books are mostly about a land called Westoros, which is essentially medieval England with dragons and magic. It has nothing to do with Vikings, except that I think the people who run the History Channel decided that shows about medieval Europe were the cool thing now, and decided to make Vikings to capitalize off that. Also they stole the ten hour-long episode season/story structure from GoT.
