I stumbled across this courtesy of a guest. TIL where Peace's name comes from.

I got introduced to prom by Mark Duchesne (some of the older members might remember his older brother Joseph, he ran staronesw and had his own little prom called hack infiltration for a while, as well as playing in the original TBV). When I first signed up I spent a good 10 minutes thinking of badass character names before settling on Shadow, so it wasn't particularly inspired in my case.

What's the story behind your name here?

[Krowdon]

I was doing a Redwall roleplay on neopets, and I needed a villain name because nobody else wanted to play the baddie. So I just picked a K to start my name off with and the rest just kind of followed. No real special meaning. I chose Krowdon to sign up on RWL as because I was still using her (well, him at the time) to roleplay with Takara, and everyone was a vermin here.

I thought this would be a thread about all those comblasted origin stories things that are dominating cinema at the moment, lol.

As for the origin of my name, it's nothing exciting. I signed up for the last few days of my first turbo round as "skinner" the pine marten, but I was into my warrior cats at the time, so come the reset I decided for a change of race and name. "Fireheart" was the protagonist of the original (and best :P) warrior cat books, so I basically just pilfered his name and used that for the next round and my forum account. If only Wildcatwas  better, I'd go Firetooth the wildcat again. Let's face it, wildcats>rats and weasels.

That depends on whether you mean my forum name or my Warlord/Horde name. The forum name comes from a time when I was obsessed with the Soviet military, and I wanted a Russian general's name for this board. I didn't want to use a famous general though, so I went with Volkov instead of Zhukov. The horde name comes from my nickname back in high school. I have really curly hair, and all of my friends back then insisted my hair looked like the fur on a Scottish terrier, so I had a lot of dog related nicknames. But since we were nerds, they were obscure dog related nicknames. So one of them was "The Hound of Ulster" aka Cuchulain, a hero in Irish myth. I just pluralized it the first time I played RWL so my other friends who played at the time would know who I was. Holby remembers her, but I don't think anyone else still here would, but Shorestar from this site's old sister site, when Boze was still running it, used to play RWL, and she introduced me to it. The name of that site escapes me now.

10 year old me playing some mmorpg. I wanted a cool name, eventually ended up choosing "iblis," another name for the Devil. What do you know, it's taken. In a fit of rage, I hit a random key, happens to be u. BAM.

Used this for almost 10 years now. Never been taken on anything I've signed up for. I'm so original.

I started off as lone wolf but people confused me with an older player so i went through different wolf names until i found one i liked. And thats how i became Night Wolf. :P

well, my fursona's name is Jethro Mortspear, 'Jethro' for Leroy Jethro Gibbs off of NCIS, 'Mortspear' for the very obscure character known as King Mortspear mentioned only once in the book Lord Brocktree as the father of UngattTrunn and Verdauga Greeneyes. After that I just picked the military rank that commands the most people but still has a good chance of being called into battle

[The Lady Shael]

My character's name was just Shael when I first joined RWL. I was really into Lord of the Rings at the time..... so I wanted something elven-sounding. Later, in a role-play, someone referred to me as "The Lady Shael" and I thought that sounded cool. And here we are. :p
