Very. It was actually a little bit easier to read than LOTR in my opinion, since I can't get past the first chapter in Fellowship, while I read the Hobbit in a couple of days when I was 10. Lol

Blunt the knives and bend the forks!
Smash the bottles and burn the corks!
Chip the glasses and crack the plates!
That's what Bilbo Baggins hates -

Cut the cloth and tread the fat!
Leave the bones on the bedroom mat!
Pour the milk on the pantry floor!
Splash the wine on every door!

Dump the crocks in a boiling bowl;
Pound them up with a thumping pole;
And when you've finished, if any are whole,
Send them down the hall to roll!

That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!
So, carefully! Carefully with the plates!

The movie was a bit long and boring and they get chased everywhere.

It's just not interesting enough for three movies. Might have made one good movie.

The other two movies are about the history of middle earth or something.

Reason: The hobbit is a children's story

They authors are taking works from not just the Hobbit, but also Unfinished Tales (I forget which one), as well as the some other histories Tolkien wrote while developing Middle Earth and his works

There's an animated LotR, too. What's your point?
