it's because they're one of the few states where the majority is religious 24/7
but it's like 54-56 percent, so how they get away with it, I don't know

I think... Is mostly southern states that are on the list.

contrary to popular belief, California is a suckish state full of suckish varied weather and suckish stereotypes and is extremely uncivilized when it comes to the fact that I almost always see people trying to shoplift from stores.
once i saw a lady open up a package with a toy gun in it and tell her three children to share it. And they were in the store.

Here in the south, some may be religious nutjobs. But at least we have manners and values.
