Do you plan on bringing the whole family on that safari or are you abandoning them? If you bring them I'll have an entire militia to teach how to shoot and do surviving stuff.

Because there's more to it than that. You need to learn safety. You need to learn trust in the weapon. You need to learn the stance, breathing, how to hold, how to aim, how to squeeze the trigger, how to handle the recoil, how to maintain the weapon, how to load and unload, how to find and use the correct ammo...

Much goes into the use of a modern firearm.

AND it's this attitude exactly which proves that you must learn how to use a gun. You don't brandish the weapon unless you intend to use it.

Especially in a post-apocalyptic world with no law.
