Best if you know somebody who plays the game to get the feel of it, or the structure deck would have a game guide with the basics.

if you are adamant about becoming proficient, the newest YGO game is the best way to go, usually up to date with the newest cards even after months of its game release.... Go to online mode and you will face worthy adversaries :)

Black Luster soldier is sik, blue-eyes ultimate is ultimate, exodia pwns, but the game has come a long way from then Sevah :D

You ever play?  I go to a few YCS events, if i got the time and if my bros are up to the 8+ hour tournament preliminary

Also hit the regionals cos those are more predictable and give decent prizes
