Is there anybody out there that's using and enjoying the ferret race or is it a struggle?

Here is the basic casher strategy that the bots use:

Start of run: sell army on pm except for an attacking army and merc sell the rest. Eco settings 50-50 at 20% tax, and attack for about 150 turns, building to heal. Build 20% huts, 80% markets. After attacking your workers should be pretty much filled up. Set tax to 43% and cash eco settings to 100% and use the cash income buff until about 100 turns remain (earn loyalty instead if you are out of loyalty). Demolish half your markets and build camps. Buy merc. Demolish camps and turn them into towers.

If public market is cheaper than mercs, skip the camps, and turn 60% of your markets into towers, and then buy a defending army from the private market.

this only food. You will rely on others for your cash, which you make by selling food

Is it better than wolf for food production?

Ian2424

I played the race for a couple of runs. I just followed the basic strategy, but I was making around 3 billion food on 60k land. It's quite easy.
Uhh, it's needs to be about 20% cooler.

just switch all instance of markets and foragers.  Ferret make more on foragers than any other race.  you can take a look at the help section in turbo under races guide to see what we are talking about

That's sounds like a fun farming alternative to a wolf. I take it that it's more productive than a wolf with enrich then?

Well, none of he races have race spells yet, so they kinda equal up, but in my opinion, ferrets are easier to make food, but wolves are better to mass it.

They are easy, but it is a bit more difficult to hold onto your land

Due to the lack of spells do you think that maybe there is room for people to successfully use The Painted One race?

Shadow

I think I'd like to try that, even if it's not effective I'd like to do it next round for the added sense of self worth of being a Painted one in the top 10. (provided I finish there)

Sevz

forager would be different, best bet would be 30% huts, 60% forages and 10% tents on low tax 5%

Coding out holes in the game is the best way to do things.
Relying an the admins to patrol is a) time consuming for the admins in question b) unreliable c) only invites conflict
There is no conflict or "I didn't know any better!" excuses with a coded in rule.
