 what does it mean by TR being "gagged"? and is that the reason that she's leaving?

 She is gagged so that she cannot return, as she left and doesn't want to be given the opportunity to come back. This restriction takes the fun out of her forum-going, thus she won't come back, most likely.

 No she's leaving and doesn't want to be tempted to come back.  She didn't do anything wrong.

 From what I can gather, she's left because she's become addicted to the forums and doesn't want to waste so much time on them. She's still on AIM etc though.

 AIM's addictive, too, and she's not quitting that!
