 People here referring to football normally mean the AFL- Australian Football League.

 Aussie Rules you use your hands. You drop the ball on to your foot and kick it. The idea is to kick it inbetween two big poles for 6 points. There's little poles either side of the Goal posts, (the big ones) and if kick between a big and little the kick is worth one point.
It is played between two sides, and the object being to outscore the other by the end of the game, consisting of four quarters.
