The man is one of the best song/melody writers I have ever heard.

If you've never heard him, please listen to "Tea for the Tillerman" "Teaser and the Firecat" or "Catch Bull at Four"

All of his albums are good in my opinion. But those three are pretty addictive and popular...

Er, he's alright I guess. He writes good songs, but I don't think he's a particularly great singer. I think Sheryl Crow's version of "The First Cut is the Deepest" is better than his, because I think she is a better singer. Of course I think this about a number of artists.
