I guess that depends on how you look at it.

It was originally to increase/retain activity.

And it still is I think. However I HATE the whole idea of DEMOCRATIC ELECTIONS because then I have to be nice to be revoted and I just could not stand, no more.

if it makes you feel any better, it was me who suggested that spa elections only be done when a mod steps down or is booted.

it was others who thought the term limit was a good idea.

I blame windowhound for it. He was the guy going around bleating "DEMOCRACEH" to any organism with an ear.

And then Shrapneltooth brings the whole dead subject up when everyone seems to have forgotten about the terms and rallies the masses against me because THEY DIDN'T KNOW HOW GOOD THEY HAD IT.

Worse part is he did it in the last few weeks of my term. What a jerk! >:(

But if I remember the term for the winner of the first competition was like two weeks or a month or something. So it wasn't like a huge arbitrarily made decision. But it did have some long lasting effects which we are currently enduring.

Ceiling Cat help us if the wrong people win... Which they won't lulz. They have no idea how rotten the system actually is. And I could post it in every thread and message it to every spammer and they still won't understand how fruitless their efforts are!
