I don't think his biggest complaint is the date, although saying that unfortunately I can't read Firetooth's brain (unfortunately)

If I know Firetooth well (which I think I do) then he's arguing that his birth can be celebrated, but that the way in which it is celebrated currently is dreadful, mostly because it's meant to be a Christian holiday but actually includes a lot of Pagan traditions which violate the core of Christianity.

And that it has become overly commercialized the world over.

Both of which are good points if you are a Christian, less so if you're not.

Because you and I both know it's much more likely he was born in autumn then winter, maybe?

If you want to guess over something as important as the birth of your messiah, at least make an educated guess, lol.

Over several centuries, Christ's birth has been celebrated in the winter. This started before all the modern research. Just out of cultural habit, I do not believe it would be possible to change the celebration to any other time.
