aside from cosmetic glitches caused by the wrong timestamps, are there any problems so far? Have you guys tried changing prices and such?

No.

The price changing does work. I'm not sure about the 48-hour thing yet.

And here I was going to try a market storing strat. Ah well.

Do you like market storing being viable? I've always found it one of the more annoying unintended consequences of the code.

Pippin

you could make it so anyone selling anything below merc price can be stored on market and removed when wanted, but anything equal or over stays on there permanently?

it might not be a good storing method i suppose but atleast theres the chance to store then.

But then people could put troops on for a lot, and then lower the price when they want to take them off.

Pippin

i dont understand this changing rule, it could be misused by putting something on at max price, and changing to the lowest price for an ally to buy off.

though not a big deal as you cant store a great deal on there.

i don't think the price change really adds anything to the market other than to keep lowering your prices to match an enemies for example on food.

Heh. As I said, there is more, but time is short. We decided to code up the easier bits of the market plan and see how they fared on their own. If they don't work out then we will take them back until the whole package can go in at once.

Eventually, changing the price will come at at cost to the player doing it, so that it's abuse would be potentially costly.

didnt mean to sound harsh just giving some feedback.

sounds good, would it depend on the amount of troops on or the size of the price change?

also any sneak peaks on the future market plans?  ::)

Does the price change happen immediately, or is there a wait period?

from what i've just tried it happened straight away.

instead of charging for this perhaps if could incur a time penalty for them to travel a little further on the market ^^
