generally, whoever holds it has a huge net-gaining potential, so they usually win in terms of net as well, heh.

is it a location bonus that gives this net, or something entirely different?

Pearl Holder location:
This location has a 2.00 bonus for all location stats.

Ie, you make double troops, and make double loyalty, and get double workers.

This really should have been the round where we got a wildcat jacked up on cities. That would have been excellent.

or a magpie. Citied magpie in pearl holder location would blow marten out of the water.

i was producing 250b ish a run on a magpie last round on 150 cities + 125k tents.

would be epic if that production was double, 500b cash a run anyone?

Magpie even without cities would probably blow everyone out of the water. Lizards have a ridiculous amount of networth tied to them and they could buy them super cheap while still cashing hard on the amount of workers, if they did a 70/30 tent/camp build they wouldn't even need to use their brain. Someone could murder the bejesus out of them I guess and spam take city, but that takes some serious loyalty, and unless they've murdered pretty much all the troops, it requires a pretty serious amount of army as well. Magpie's a great race if you can get people working together to get land to it.

getting lands the easy part to be honest, keeping it is the hard part and theres no way a magpie will be able to hold onto that many cities on a leader round.

It's still loss heavy and loyalty intensive to take cities from someone, you could make it work if you weren't the one making all the cities personally, and just farmed them off of other people. But I agree, it'd be easier to run straight land, and if there's a lot of land in the round (which there probably will be) even being able to run 100k+ tents should get you a good bit of cash per run if it's easy enough to come by, especially with the pearl modifier.

can't wait to try out any strat using the pearls location. this 70/30 lizard strat you mentioned, with a 20% foraging bonus on a lizard would it be better at 70% foragers and then selling the food  for troops? or doesn't the bonus apply to foraging only double workers.

I think he meant magpie buying the lizard troop, not lizard race.
