Mass message

I think you should be able to mass message everyone in the game.  ??? ??? ??? What do you think?

nah i think that should stay as an emperor privilege only, but maybe second and third place could get it as well. an emperor needs to spread his messages but so does his main competition, it makes sense.

Or maybe the top ten. And they should be able to choose who to send it to, like have a checklist of everyone in the game and check the ones you want to send it to.

eh my bad, its not a mass message but you got a dropdown to specificly choose who to send it to.

Yeah, I meant somthing you could send it to just your allies, or just everybody who is not an ally

I don't want to give everyone the ability to mass-message...it's a feature that can be easily abused. Even if the Emperor borders on abusing it, I'll take it away.

Clan leaders do have the ability to mass-message the clan. I can see the usefulness of all clan members able to mass-message the clan, but that's what the clan forum is for.

If you want to message a bunch of people outside your clan, you just have to suck it up and use your message credits. If you're trying to send a message (make an announcement) to everyone in the game, that's kind of considered spam. In that case, use the lounge or post on the forums.

I've never used it yet anyway, but how is it abusable?

Hehe. ^.^ Basically by "abusing", I mean if the Emperor sends out mass-messages every hour or something, or uses it as personal advertising (like for a website or product or something). The purpose of it is so the emp can send out decrees or make occasional announcements to the whole server. We haven't really had anyone abuse it so far...in the Turbo trials people mostly sent out silly or taunting messages, which is okay as long as it's not excessive or derogatory.
