I have no idea. Only person on mine is Shadow when I added him a few years back.

It's there so that you can use it to quickly email people or contact them through other various methods (near as I can tell) instead of hunting for their posts.

Now I think about it, it does seem kind of pointless. Neat find, I had forgotten it even existed.
