lol what do you call it when you drop 40k playing a cashing derp leader strat Firetooth?

"Valid strategy?"

It is a [lance] move in either case. Shadow is abusing nothing. He is playing internet warlords. You are trying to play internet crylords.

Sevz has already moved on and his solution to the land dropping is both hilarious and effective. You should do the same.
I don't drop as a leader. Never have, besides one round. Look at last round.

I let other people do the work for me. When I was less experienced, I just spent turns regardless of ratio.

Besides, not only are you wrong if you assumed I drop or approve of leaders dropping, you miss the point:

Land farm is intended to help players gather land. Normally, this situation would not be possible due to the existence of leaders. Now it is being taken advantage of and land farm is no longer a utility to help gather land, it is a storehouse for land.

This wouldn't be possible any other round. It is flat out theme abuse. Don't try to deny it. It's got nothing to do with "war" or "crying," it's working against how the feature -and round- are intended to work, but as I said, if it's just "warlords, not pony raising" I'll build 200 cities tomorrow and we'll see where this goes. That will be my solution to the issue.

Sitting on 50k and some form of defenses now, thanks. ;) I do have a short term solution, just like Sevz, but trying to hold land clanned is near impossible and it doesn't change the fact this is theme abuse.

Finally, a tangent, what is everybody issues with leadering, it's like everybody has some intense hatred of? It's no worse or better on a strategic level then indying, cashing or derp farming. How is leadering less refined then building barracks, scouting 50turns, getting land, aiding your troops, building that land and repeating for cheap net? The whole game needs overhauling because the other strats are underpowered, not because leader is  that overpowered. It's like everybody who leaders is a tool who can't play properly.

lol they're all so mad. Lookit 3 of them posting.

Lookit 'em.

I'm not mad, I just strongly disagree with you saying this isn't theme abuse. Simples, as that Meerkat would say.  :P

Edit: Also Pip's right, you're needlessly provoking us, that post added nothing to the topic and wasn't related to turbo; it's only intention was to get a response. It's possible to disagree and be civil.

I'm currently in top position by a huge margin BUT I'm intentionally dropping down to the bottom.

Sharptooh

I can see this topic is going nowhere . . .

I suppose the land dropping situation could make this round more fun, I'd have thought it was code abuse but if the admins disagree then I suppose it's just best to get on with things.

Nothing short of crying. Since i've been back, and for at least the last 4 rounds (4 months) you have complained about something or another the entire time.

And you have yet to prove you deserve the attention you get. A consistent run of not-quite-good-enoughs and if if if.

Teams were imbalanced in the forced clan round. That was unfair.

Kilk, Rudder, Volkov and I made it harder to HPR/foodmass in emp and half land. That was poor form.

Now Shadow is doing nothing more than playing the game with a bit of strategy. Thats cheating.

I don't get it. What makes this round of whining not really a round of whining when it doesn't really look any different than your previous floods of tears. You can try to paint it a different way, but no number of words that you can come up with to throw at the forum will change the fact that you are whining. Again.

nice to see justice done against neobabes there.

as for saying we whine, its not whining were making a point, and the attention we get? you must mean the attention from you and your boyfriend kilk crying about every move we make thinking you run the place.

and theres a difference between strategy and theme abuse.

This wouldn't be possible any other round.

Isn't the use strategies and tactics that wouldn't be possible in other rounds and making the most of the parameters of the round the point of having themed rounds?

I raised the issue, you can keep dropping but take a look at the scores.  All the cheating keeps me in top spot. Why am I crying?
I'm an Indy. Who expects me to successfully lock? no one. But with Shadow helping me it's done and dusted. Any land I can't acquire today is safely stored for me tomoro. Thanks n00bs.
Great round for me to rock heads

To an extent, but as I said this goes contrary to the use of land farm, and I'm pretty sure the point of this round is to try out new strats, largely indy...how does one indy on such limited land, seeing as land plays a key part in net production for indies?

Also, looks like my solution to this problem worked, doesn't mean the issue isn't broken.

9.4 hours ago    Shadow (#5) attacked you!    You held your defense and your enemy was repelled, but you lost:
5,157,663 Rats
You managed to destroy:
1,380,948 Rats
9.5 hours ago    Shadow (#5) attacked you!    You held your defense and your enemy was repelled, but you lost:
624,405 Stoats
You managed to destroy:
171,984 Stoats

I still have my 50k. Managed to scrape another 30k.

Also Neo, what do you mean "deserve attention?" Everybody deserves to have their opinion seen. If you mean ingame, I've proved myself. As for your examples, I didn't play forced clans and I would've won emp had Sevz realised it was the reset, lol. As it is we nearly outnetted your whole team between the two of us. (and two runs from The Oblit at the end, which probably made up for all the cash we'd lost in sacks) Let's face it, if one round I actually had an even team to you and Kilk, the result would be less one sided-at the least. All you two do is get every veteran on the site, make a clan and produce cheap team indied net onto stoats. You nearly had a heart attack when they put in aid credits, lol.

Finally, I agree Shadow (and other watchtower members-whoop for one) aren't cheating, but he's playing the round in a way it isn't meant to be played. In the past changes have been made to rounds so people couldn't play against the theme, ie. previously you could leave your clan in forced clan/storehouse/ice vs fire. etc rounds, now you're locked in, I don't think even the leader can boot you.

As for "whining," give over. I was complaining about team sizes the past 3 rounds, this is an issue to do with the theme. Moreover, I didn't make the topic, the player benefiting did. Does that show you something? You've actually been plenty rude and "whiney" when things don't go your way.

eg. "nobody loves us, every solo leaderer is stupid and ruining the round, Shadow is a cheating lieing meanie."

Whilst I recognize Kilk may not necessarily stick by that statement (or compliation of statements, rather), you've done the exact same thing when you didn't have a large clan backing you, and more as I've never claimed the staff are against me, or that they're cheating. (read, theme abuse and cheating are different)

**passes out beers**

This post is designed to put a stop to the code abuse.
Firetooths almost a great player. We could of easy won last round if i grabbed cash out the bank and removed food net from the PM plus a final run we would of been worth over 10bil net. The reset must of happened an hour before I logged on and that's why the administration should have an accurate countdown timer stop clock so hard work gets rewarded. I didn't even finish with most cash cos of cluny.

**passes another beer**

no matter what happens, shadow dropping land on an already maxed farm got used against him. There's no forces capable of stopping us unless a scout and pass system gets activated when the landfarm isn't maxed.

Sevz, the reset is the same time on the same day of every month. If you don't take the 30 seconds to figure out how that translates to your time zone, that's your problem. Don't blame me for losing your win.
