VICTORY OVER REBELS
When the admins plunged us into this latest spam war, we thought it would never end. But thanks to the tireless efforts of our military (And yes, you too, citizen!) We have managed to rid our world of the Rebels. This was made official today at a Federal Council meeting when the staff and Commander all agreed that continued wartime operations will be unnecessary as the rebels have collapsed under their own weight and lost all momentum. No known strongholds exist and so far no spokesman for the once determined rebels has stood to defy these claims. It is suspected that most have simply accepted the Federation, and are now living out normal lives as peaceful and prosperous civilians in the Federation. Although our Commander has called for amnesty, the Sky Marshal claims that no former rebel shall be given an opportunity of Federal Service in his military. Therefor one can speculate that former rebels will have to seek alternative methods if they wish to achieve citizenship. This could include live scientific testing or other sacrifices for the Federation.

Only time will tell how this will change the Federation and indeed the Spa Room, but the Sky Marshal assures us that we will not lower our guard and states that even though the war may be over, demand for soldiers is at an all time high while we prepare for an uncertain future.

ATTACK OF THE BOTS
We see them all the time. What are they doing? What do they want? Are they harmful? Citizen, let me tell you, these guests mean to harm us and our way of life! They do not wish to join the Federation. They don't even wish to post in Spa. All they seek to do is, by using YOUR bandwidth, take OUR information and run on back to their families in Google. They contribute nothing. They seek to take everything. Are you going to let them? So far Federal scientists have found few ways to deal with the bots. Some say the bots were provoked by the intrusion of spammers into their natural habitat, that a live and let live policy is preferable to war with the bots. For now, only time will tell.

THE FEDERATION FOR DUMMIES
Many ask, few know. How does the Federation work? What is the difference between a citizen and a civilian? Why do we require Federal service for citizenship? Well, it's all about the way the world works! And the world, citizen, does indeed work. It has unified spa and even civilized some parts of the forums.
However, this we all know. Instead, how about some answers for your eager minds? What IS the difference between a citizen and civilian? A citizen accepts personal responsibility for the safety of the body politic, a civilian does not (or has yet to do so). A citizen has more rights than the civilian. These include: The ability to vote, the ability to run for political office, the ability to take on policing roles, and full support from the Federation. But why require Federal service to obtain these rights? Because these rights allow an individual to have power over the lives of others! And if one is to dictate the lives of others, he must first be willing to die for that right. If he has that resolve, then surely he is worthy of the power that would be granted to him.

BOT CAPTURED AND SENTENCED TO DEATH
As is the norm in the Federation, the criminal, in this case a bot, was tried on the same day of their capture. First hand accounts from the court room state that the bot was escorted to the center of the court, in front of Federal judges, and immediately given a guilty verdict and sentenced to death. This was followed by the applause of the audience and the offender was marched away, awaiting their fate. When interviewed, the judge stated that no further info was needed, nor input from the defendant. He knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that the bot was guilty of his crimes and wanted prompt justice not only to send a message, but to amend their crimes against humanity. Some protesters, who are now awaiting trial themselves for treason, claim that the bot should have at least been given a chance to voice his side of the story. However giving the defendant a chance to vocally defend themselves has not occurred in the Federation in at least 3 decades, and is unlikely to occur ever again with the stern judges that currently preside.
