Actually I do try buying up troops, but it never really works. Any indy who is willing to go through a bit of trouble can break easily. I could probably save a truckload of cash just not buying troops, because they really don't do anything unless you're trying to emp.

That's the whole point of emping. You take over the game in the face of opposition. Sitting on the top for 7 (or 10) days barely counts. Especially if most of that is in food net. Troop net at least takes some effort to gain and support, especially if you're solo.

Emping solo is impossible, that's what I was really trying to point out

As in, he only managed to take emp solo once. It's pretty much impossible to become a true emp without a team. You might be able to take the top spot for a certain amount of time, but there is a difference between that and taking over the game.

Going back to the original topic (obviously because I am too lazy to read all the new posts) Landfarm 2.0 and Landfarm 3.0 take over the duties of landfarm, which is to give free land away. People could use the land dropping thingy to catapult Lanfarm into emperor, and then make it a challenge to bring it back down. Landfarm would get a lot of land then, and if only poisons are used to bring him back down, then he would have like 1 million acres of land.

The aid credit change is to stop indy being able to aid all of their net away and play a team output strategy with no upkeep.
