and as for the Daleks: the design hasn't changed since the 1960s and I have my dad's word that they were scary back then, haha. They're just one of those things in Doctor Who that can't really ever be changed.

Daleks's are as eternal as the Doctor, forever will they plague the universe and forever will the Doctor fight them. It is kind of a Yin-Yang thing, their universe would not be in balance w/o them

We just finished season 5, and have watched everything that is on NefFlix.

I like Matt Smith, but I don't understand what happened to the Doctors character between David Tennant and Matt Smith. It's like he suddenly became aloof and cold and angsty.

Not really sure where the storyline is going though. River Song gets on my nerves.

Every Doctor has his own personality, most of the time with no obvious connection the previous Doctor.

I don't think there is a real reason behind it :/

Oh! There's always some connections, some little things. I forget which doctor, but one of the early doctors made a comment about his nose being really bad. Matt Smith doctor after he regenetrated did a comment on himself checking when he felt his nose, he said "Eh, had worse", a reference to the earlier doctor ;)
