as I said, my statement is based on what I've seen
things like geraldo rivera on a studio set pretending to be reporting live from Iraq,
the late night duche bags making extremely offensive statements against Canadian soldiers
those are the kinda "fair, balanced" news reporting that I have come accross

It comes down to this: it has been documented that Fox will knowingly air false information about people and events that they don't like or that go against their agenda. It is not a matter of putting a spin on it, it is a matter of them knowingly lying and calling it news. Therefore, anything they say is suspect and should not be taken as news.

Can't you see that what your saying is incredibly biased? Biased most likely because Fox is politically opposed to you?

How can you have a discussion when someone comes into it with their mind already made? No one has presented any sort of important evidence to show Fox lies, so far all I've seen is a story that was reported on bad information and a caricature of two men. Every news organization gets stories wrong sometimes, every news station shows certain people in a bad light, by your standards every news station spews poo.

Name me a story that actually matters that was lied about by Fox or maybe real news that was reported wrongly and never apologized for.

I don't like CNN, but I'm not running around yelling that everything they say is a lie or that I wouldn't believe anything I've heard from them, this so ridiculous.

Shadow and Gorak do you guys even get Fox News in Canada? Have you really ever sat down and watch them report on things?

I just find this whole thing to be overblown and un-evidence.

Oh, and whoever accused Alazar of jumping on a band-wagon where the hell were you when Shadow quoted Gen. Volkov? And how is agreeing with someone "bandwagon jumping" what the frick.

I just quoted him because I didn't want his latest post to get lost when the thread was split. My post also had plenty of contriutions of my own. Alazar's post had nothing but "I agree". That's the difference.

Not everything Fox says is a lie, but they have reported wrongly in the past, and they have done to knowingly. The Sarah Palin event, for example. I mean, they claimed it was an accident but it happened twice in about a week, I think it is pretty clear that it was not.

I was actually a little confused about Firetooths post, not sure if the bandwagon comment was directed at me for not wanting to give fox news the time of day or to Ally for agreeing with Juska

and again, my experiences with fox news were their reporting were quite bad. And the last time I saw a fox news program, it was so incredibly offensive to me as a Canadian, that it'll be a long time before I ever give anything on that network a chance again

Thanks Gorak. I didn't type my reply out in a full sentence you're right Shadow. My arguement is very similar to his, no news station is perfect in this country and reports all truth. Therefore criticizing Fox news is irrelevant, unless you want to bring the other stations into the arguement.

Did I say it did? This is a prime example of you trying to install words into my mouth again. I just said its irrelevant, and it is. Whether Fox is better then any other news station is based purely on opinion. To be honest it's a pointless debate, all news stations have faults and slip ups.
