But when personal conflicts happen to take you down the same path as an obvious moral choice would, fair questions are raised. Republicans do it all the time. All the time. That you took the numbers you received as truth immediately without considering the possiblity of subterfuge was curious to me.

Does that not also include subterfuge? If I want to flood TS with a bunch of numbers I typed by rolling my face across the numpad knowing he would take them at face value, is that frowned upon?

Juking your competition by making them compensate for something you're apparently massing, or giving them valid numbers as a bluff seem like fair strategies.

I used to play like this all the time, and quite succesfully at that.

The spy joined the game for the purpose of spying. Which is both my reason for believing that the information was accurate, and for my objection to using it.

To my understanding it was a friend (acquaintance?) of my brother's who joined. Since he has no reason to give info to anyone else, I doubt it will be a problem since Purple Dragons deleted. I think it was just a bit of poor judgement on my brother's part asking him to join, and on mine for requesting more information once I saw the first bit ^_^. I decided to delete a few hours later, after thinking it over.

All this to say, there is no need to go after the spy.

Yeah, he signed up to spy. Which is why I did not use the information. I thought that was clear ^_^

Anyway, real espionage is fine. If I had found a mole in the clan, I would have used it without qualm.

I don't think it can be policed if someone is a trader to their clan in either game. There is a difference between a player being sneaky and a multi. Frankly getting a buddy who has little or no intent to really play to sign up as a spy is as good as a multi.

That said, corrections made, punishment self administrated, any damage done has been done, maybe no damage at all, lets us move on ....

Sure, people can chat about this and their thoughts of spys etc. A good discussion topic. But I see no need to hold anyone's feet to the fire.

The kill attempt had nothing to do with it, I just don't like Sevs. It was also rather widely publicized that Sevs was your biggest contributor, by Sevs himself.

That was also well before I had any info. The total time between me receiving info and deleting my account was maybe 4 hours.
