AD FOR EMPEROR!!!!

 Okay, here's my perspective on this particular issue.

I love Ad to death, but even as wonderful as he is, I don't think he would make a good emperor:

a) As far as Ad himself is concerned, he is, as everyone has said, too peaceful to maintain his position for very long. He would have to have copious bodyguards, who might, should they become corrupted, tyrranize the people of Mossflower. Ad could become a figurehead, powerless to stop his corrupt guards.

B) This could become the downfall of Winter. As we all know, the Emperor's clan inevitably becomes the object of some war or struggle, and I don't want to see this happen to Winter. We've been around too long and seen too much to become entangled in the politics of the top ten wars.

c) How much fun would it really be to have a peaceful emperor? Sure, it might be nice for a while- we could all watch our hordes grow, graze our ponies, and punt our skiffs down the rivers and streams of Mossflower. But we'd get bored eventually. I know that many of you hate Ereptor, but isn't all the war and conflict and role-play fun? That's what RWL is about. Not peace and getting along, but diplomacy and struggle. That's why we love RWL, whether we want to admit it or not.

 Some very good points made. But I think I can say a little back to them.

First. Just because there is a peaceful Emperor doesn't mean there would be peace throughout Mossflower. Clans would still be at war, people would still fight. Only the top 10 would there be a peace.

Second. With the body guard thing. Ad would just have to choose wisely. And if they did become corupt, there would be body guards like me and a few others who would fight them off from Ad. I doubt all of Winter or his body guards would become corupt.

Please respond if you have something to say back to this, for I am like a Shrew, ready to debate, not argue. But unlike the shrew I am willing to listen to others. State your opions about what I have said, and maybe a debate should come.

 I think you're right, Dead Eye. However, what you're saying is only really likely if this were a perfect world, which it isn't. It would be too easy to have things go sour.

Ad is a symbol for many of us. I'd hate to see that change.

 Yes, I see. Well, as I said before, we can't just vote him in. He has to get up there himself. When and if he does that, we will see to it that Mossflower does not become corrupt.

Also, everyone, don't misinterpret my statement above as also saying that I would not defend Ad were he to become Emperor. I would defend my clan leader with my life, if called upon to do so, which all Winter members would undoubtedly have to face, were he to become Emperor. Above all else, Winter must remain as standing for peace. *bows*

 AD would make a great leader all he has to do is have a large army he doesn't nessicerialy (<- yeah thats spelled wrong) have to use it.  Just when he has to. Besides if He can climb to Emperor by himself he wouldn't need bodyguards.

 I don't need to have a large army and I know that, all I need to gain rank is a insane amount of food. If I do it that way I will not have large army to look after me, just a large amount of leaders to look after my food supply therefore keeping me in first place. Then if I get in first fast and keep the food well looked after then If anyone attacks me, they take the land but not the food so I can't be knocked that way.
The only trouble is I need to get there and I plan to do it soon maybe with the help of a few..

I Will get to Number one and be the peaceful warlords you all want so much.

 Sorry to break this to you Ad, but some people *cough* Holby *cough* have a knack for making leaders. You may have more, but after you're attacked, and you lose much land your leaders will desert due to your lack of huts! Then, those leader chaps can come in and start blowing up the food! :o

(Sorry, had to be realistic about it, just to warn you of what may happen assuming you got there on a food strat)

 Ah holbs. I have been here a long time, so how can I not know about that. If you get attacked, then your land goes of course, but you get alot of land from scouting so you can scout and put all the land in to huts, markets and forgers and that it. Think about that, it means I can almost replace the huts fairly quicky.

If you play this game as peacefully as I, you how hard it is....
If you play this game as long as I, you know alot....

I have planned this out holbs.  ;)  And I hope to put it into actions tonight. I hope.

 It's faster to lose than to gain. Think about that. Also realise that once you get to massive totals of leaders, it hurts more when you lose them.
