I am currently grading papers. Most of these are pretty miserable. When you get to college don't turn in bad papers. People like me circle entire paragraphs in red ink and either write "?" or "No." if you do something wrong. Why do we do this? Because someone did it to us three to four years ago!

My dad keeps telling me that someone who can write well is rare anymore and that it's a skill I really need to grasp. Heh, easier said than done.

Believe it or not, posting on something like this daily helps in ways you can't even imagine. Being able to write coherent thoughts is fundamental.
